Here the menu of our March 14, 2014 dinner: 

Maultaschen in Gemüsebrühe
German style dumplings filled with smoked tempeh and kale in hearty vegetable broth

Root salad on roasted beets
finely minced root vegetables, black sesame and hempnut on roasted rutabaga, red beet and golden beet
watermelon radish, cherry reduction

Swiss chard drums
filled with roasted eggplant, leek, chard and brazilnuts
maple glazed dumpling potatoes, roasted asparagus 
tomatos, basil oil

Oh my dream Pie (by Kishino Watari)
layered banana cream pie with cashew and coconut meat
chocolate crust
orange caramel

 

The donations from our last dinner went to Pigs Peace sanctuary in Washington. We delivered it ourself and the pigs were happy, thank you all so much for your generous contributions!

We will talk more about our trip to Pigs Peace on one of the upcoming episodes of our radio show Animal Voices.

  • Creamy celeriac root-apple soup with pomegranate seed, truffle oil and dehydrated apple. 
  • chickpea rosemary flatbread, parsnip puree, roasted shii-take musrooms, roasted celeriac root chips, nutmeg sourcream, roasted brusselsprouts, dehydrated onions. 
  • roasted bell pepper stuffed with spaghetti squash, red beet and tomato, on mashed blue potatoes. Garlic-white wine chanterelles and savory quince puree. 
  • dessert by Kishino Watari: wine poached pear, caramelized walnuts and cranberry, cashew mascarpone, chocolate sauce. Thanks Kishino!

July 27th approaching

A few more awesome details about the dinner Saturday, July 27th:

It will be a collaboration with Vegan Mischief (whohoo, wanted to do that for over a year!)

It will be outside (and not at the usual location)

We will have not one, not two, not three, but four tables! Communal as well as private, awesome!

And more surprises to come….

We expect it to fill up super duper quick, so here is how it will go down: by the end of this weekend we will send an invitation through our email list (and only there!). In this invitation we will announce a new email address to which you can send your reservation request including time and seating preferences. We will only accept reservations through email and we will process all emails on a first come first serve base.

So make sure you are signed up for our email list (contact) and keep your eyes on your email inbox by the end of the weekend!
